Lancashire (Fylde Coast) based Joel Knight, sees performing as an extension of his songwriting. It’s a heart-to-heart endeavour. There is no towering judgment, or desire to correct. Only to relate. A prolific mix of intent observation and heart.
February 2024 saw the release of Joel's sophomore single. The track has already received over 11,000 streams, and multiple placements on BBC Radio Lancashire. With a debut album in the works, Joel is setting up for a big year.
Wandering between the genres of Indie / Folk-Rock, his music is dynamic, directive, and emotionally pressing. He takes inspiration from 'golden-age' acts. Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springsteen, along with recent breakthrough pioneers of 'band music'.
