KIRAN LEONARD

Them There and The Continental Presents:

KIRAN LEONARD -TRESPASS ON FOOT GROUP

Them There welcome Kiran Leonard back to Preston for his first full band headline show at The Continental in support of the new album ‘Trespass On Foot’. This is one of only a small handful of UK dates for this tour and we are lucky enough to have them come through Preston!

Without a doubt one of our favourite albums of 2021 here at Them There HQ - Trespass On Foot was quietly self released by Kiran and follows on from 2018’s ‘Western Culture’ (Moshi Moshi). Pieced together between 2016 and 2019 ‘Trespass On Foot’ is an ambitious and sprawling two-part album that takes all of the adventurous and complex songwriting prominent on previous albums to a whole new level! Soaring electric guitar instrumentals and hushed torch songs compliment each other side by side on this highly emotional and dynamic record. Recommended.

On the night Kiran is joined by the newly formed Trespass On Foot Group consisting of Daniel S. Evans - high-strung electric guitar, Mike O'Malley - cittern, Isabelle Thorn - high-strung electric guitar, Otto Willberg - bowed double bass.

DEAR LAIKA

DEAR LAIKA

Dear Laika whose debut album ‘Pluperfect Mind’ (NNA Tapes) was released this year will also be performing. Her delicately dissonant songs for piano and electronics take classical and operatic leanings whilst retaining a uniquely forward minded approach.

“It is a prodigiously ambitious, suite-like album that collages into a canvas of unusual breadth: a polytonal patchwork comprising field recordings, thunderous chorales, darkwave vocals, and abrupt cuts.” - Pitchfork

THOM BROWN

Thom Brown (Preston Field Audio / Powders) opens the show with a rare solo performance for guitars and samplers.
